Wow, is about all I can say. I was home this weekend and my parents asked about your family. We are all praying for them, your church and the community.
I have been working for four days with a crew from church, helping people in our church clean up after this devistating flood. There are people here who have lost everything. I worked for two days in an elderly couple's home who are in shock. They don't know what to do. Not only homes are damaged, but also crops. I talked to Karl Hirzel, who runs a tomato cannery, and he said they will be lucky to bring in 30% of the crop this year because the tomatoes are rotting in the fields. Agencies that help people have lost their office space. Out church is trying to offer temporary office space. Maybe God spared our church for a reason. This area is going to need finacial support.
