ESPN's Greatest Highlight

ESPN is holding a 'tournament' for the greatest highlight in sports history. After the first round of voting of somewhere around 100 clips compiled by experts, people got online and narrowed it down to a list of 16. My favorite sports clip ever is still in the running. I think, in comparison to the rest of them, the 'Miracle On Ice' is the greatest sports moment. It was an amazing accomplishment especially considering most people aren't aware of the fact that the soviet team was actually comprised of professional athletes while the American team was made up of college students. People have argued that there is a vast difference between the soviet "professional athlete" and the American, but that only refers to pay. It still means that they were the best vocational hockey players in the best hockey nation in the world, playing full time. Not to mention all the cold war stuff...this clip has to be number one. Head over the check out ESPN's Greatest HIghlight Page to follow the bracket and vote. Miracle on ice has made it to the 'Elite 8.' Let's go all the way!!
